Graeme Crosby needs no introduction to anyone with even a discerning interest in motorcycle racing.

The New Zealander burst on to the UK race scene in 1979 and very quickly gained a large dedicated following, and a second place in the TTF1 British Championship propelled him to the heady heights of a Suzuki factory rider the following year

On the world famous Isle of Man TT circuit he scored three race wins, a second and a fourth from only eight starts and he lifted the TT Formula One World Championship on two occasions with countless other successes too numerous to mention.

Here with typical honesty 'Croz', as he is affectionately known, pays his own tribute to Tom.

'Sadly, I only met Tom very briefly.

In fact, it was the sad turn of events in 1979 that probably gave me the opportunity with Suzuki. For as sure as the sun comes up daily, we would have been seeing Tom riding for the Texaco Heron Suzuki team into the 80's.
Who knows what the future would have held, but Tom and I in the same team would have been lots of craic as the Irish say.

I agree with your statement that Tom is still regarded as one of the finest racers.'
